Desk Pets (www.mydeskpets.com) has rolled out the US$29.99 CarBot, which is controllable by iOS or Android mobile devices.

The CarBot is programmed with four interactive modes: Drift ‘n’ Race mode, Battle mode for multi-player fun, Maze mode, and Personality mode. The remote control car comes in four colors: red, blue, orange and green. CarBots can be set to battle mode for multi-player battle via infrared sensors.

Each CarBot can be set to A, B, or C frequency for battles between CarBots. In battle mode players can use the fire button to disable the opponent’s CarBot. The Drift ‘n’ Race mode allows for full speed racing and drifting. In maze mode CarBots can successfully navigate mazes and avoid obstacles. In personality mode makes the CarBot go crazy drifting, speeding, and spinning with lights and sounds. CarBots can also be set to mute for noiseless play.

Each CarBot comes with an iDesk Pets universal remote dongle that plugs into the headphone jack of your mobile device. Users can fully control the CarBot with their iOS or Android device by downloading the Desk Pet’s free mobile device application that turns the device into an infrared remote controller.
