Mac OS X software updates for July 26

Here are the latest updates for Mac OS X apps:

Centrify Corp. (http://www.centrify.com) security and compliance solutions that centrally control, secure and audit access to cross-platform systems, mobile devices and applications, says its DirectControl for Mac offering supports the just-released Mountain Lion with Active Directory-based authentication, access control and Group Policy for users.

Global Delight (http://www.globaldelight.com) has released new versions of its Boom Mac volume booster and Voila screen capture software that runs Mountain Lion.

ATTO Technology has readied Mountain Lion driver support for its Celerity Fibre Channel Host Bust Adapters (HBAs),  ExpressSAS/SATA HBAs and RAID Adapters, FastFrame, Network Interface Cards (NICs) and Converged Network Adapters (CNAs) as well as ExpressPCI SCSI HBAs. Customers can download the latest drivers at http://www.attotech.com .

Flexibits (http://flexibits.com/fantastical) says Fantastical 1.3.2, an update for its Mac calendar app, is now available. This update adds support for the MacBook Pro with Retina display and Mountain Lion.

Blackmagic Design (http://www.blackmagicdesign.com) has released a series of new software updates for its products that adds full support for Mountain Lion. These software updates include support for Apple’s new Gatekeeper anti malware security protection for all products, including DaVinci Resolve 9, Desktop Video products including DeckLink, Intensity, UltraStudio, H.264 Pro Recorder and Media Express, ATEM Switchers, UltraScope, Mini, Heavy Duty and Battery Converters, Videohub Routers, SmartView Monitors, HyperDeck Studio and Shuttle Disk Recorders, HDLink and Video Recorder.

Noise Industries (http://www.noiseindustries.com) has introduced Callouts 1.2 by Ripple Training exclusively for Final Cut Pro X. Its an update of the app that offers a way to highlight specific parts of footage.

Bare Bones Software has rolled out Yojimbo 3.0.4, a maintenance update of its info storage software. Among other things it adds Mountain Lion compatibility.

Facilis Technology (http://www.facilis.com) has served upTerraBlock version 5.6 with support for 3TB drives. The new version also includes enhanced Ethernet client performance for the DPX workflow and new administration features designed to make it easier for post production professionals and content creators to streamline and manage the flow of data.

Houdah Software (http://www.houdah.com) has given us HoudahGeo 3.2, an update of its one-stop photo geocoding solution for the Mac. The new version adds support for Mountain Lion and an option to publish to Evernote.

Cristallight Software (http://www.cristallight.com/) has cooked up WMF Converter Pro 3.2.1 for Mac OS X, an update to their Windows Metafile (WMF) image converter and viewer application. The update includes an improved user interface and EMF image conversion functionality.

Twocanoes Software (http://www.twocanoes.com) has announced Winclone 3.4 with Mountain Lion compatibility. Winclone allows users to migrate data from one Boot Camp partition to another partition, hard drive, or computer — or change the size of the Boot Camp partition.

Gerald Flossmann (http://www.gfApps.com) has released an update of ChordPro Buddy, his song editor and viewer for the Mac. The new version 1.2 adds the ability to show and change graphical chord shapes.

Color Splash Studio has been updated and renamed ColorStrokes (http://www.colorstrokesapp.com. The key feature is the ability to recolor images and add color to black-and-white photos.

GroupLogic (http://www.grouplogic.com) says its ExtremeZ-IP 8.0 now supports the new Mac OS X Mountain Lion. GroupLogic’s ExtremeZ-IP assists users in integrating Apple in the Enterprise policies and ensuring seamless operations in the face of constant changes in desktop and server operating systems. Version 8.0 maintains GroupLogic’s full support for Apple’s Mountain Lion operating system and is available as a free upgrade to existing customers under maintenance contract.
