Apple places 55th in Fortune Global 500

Apple has placed 55th in the latest Fortune Global 500; that’s up 86 places from the previous ranking. According to “Fortune,” Apple boasts US$108.249 billion in revenue, with a profit of $25.922 billion.

The company has also achieved $116.371 billion in assets, and $76.615 billion in stockholder equity, per “Fortune.” The top 10 on the Fortune Global 500 list are: Royal Dutch Shell, Exxon Mobile, Wal-Mart, BP, Sinopec Group, China National Petroleum, State Gride, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, and Toyota.

The Fortune Global 500 is a ranking of the top 500 corporations worldwide as measured by revenue. The list is compiled and published annually by Fortune magazine.
