Another former executive from Apple’s iAd business has made a move to another mobile ad venture: Mike Owen, who had been a senior manager overseeing iAd’s New York office, is joining mobile video ad network AdColony as its chief revenue officer, reports “TechCrunch” (http://macte.ch/Ecqlj).

The most high profile departures at iAd have been ex-head Andy Miller, who left last year to join Highland Capital; and Lars Albright, who helped had helped found Quattro Wireless and then establish iAd after Apple bought Quattro, the article adds. However, as “TechCrunch” notes, the iAd division has also recently made some key hires as well: Todd Teresi, formerly of Adobe, and Jessican Jenson, formerly of Yahoo).

According to Apple, Aids combine the emotion of TV advertising with the interactivity of Internet advertising. They alllow users to stay within their app while engaging with the ad, even while watching a video, playing a game or using in-ad purchase to download an app or buy iTunes content.
