Mac OS X software updates for June 15

Here are the latest incremental updates for Mac OS X apps.

Propellerhead (http://www.propellerheads.se) has rolled out new versions of their music making platform: Reason 6.5 and Reason Essentials 1.5. New in these versions is the introduction of Rack Extensions — a new technology from Propellerhead that opens up the rack to third parties, enabling developers to create their own instruments and effects for Reason and allowing users to expand their collection of instruments and effects with the Reason devices they want.

Maintain (http://maintain.se/cocktail) has announced Cocktail 5.3.2 (Lion Edition), the latest maintenance update for users running OS X Lion. Cocktail is a general purpose utility for OS X that lets you clean, repair and optimize your Mac. The update adds clearing of caches to the clear system caches procedure and fixes various bugs discovered in the previous release.

Karelia Software has released Sandvox 2.6 (http://www.karelia.com/sandvox/), adding a new “Extract Content of Website” feature and Japanese localization to its website building software for the Mac.

Stick Software (http://www.sticksoftware.com/) has announced version
1.6 of Fracture, their screensaver for Mac OS X. The update is now Lion compatible and fixes some bugs.

Skype (http://www.skype.com) has rolled out Skype 5.8 for the Mac. The update for the online chat application adds support for the upcoming Mountain Lion.
