Apparent Software has updated Trickster (http://tricksterapp.com), a productivity application for the Mac, to version 2.0. The upgrade sports a tweaked user interface, beefed-up performance, the ability to search files by typing, custom filters and more.

Trickster keeps track of all the files the user has been recently using on his Mac. With the software, all these documents are just one click away, accessible anytime from menu bar.

You can drag and drop files from Trickster to Finder or any other application. You can open files and applications from Trickster, preview them or reveal in Finder. You can also use preset filters to only display images, audio files, videos, documents, applications, folders and specific locations such as Dropbox and download folders.

Trickster 2 is available worldwide through the Mac App Store in the Productivity category for US$4.99. It’s also available as part of the Productive Macs bundle (http://www.productivemacs.com) of eight productivity applications, available for $39.99 through June 19.
