Shapeways (http://www.shapeways.com) has launched The Vibe, an iPhone case fully customizable with audio from SoundCloud, a social sound platform. The Vibe is the first customizable iPhone case that uses SoundCloud audio and Shapeways 3D printing to make “sound you can touch,” according to the folks at Shapeways.
Using Shapeways’ web app, you select your favorite sound from SoundCloud and the waveform will purportedly integrate into the very structure of the iPhone case. The result is a protective case available in white or black 3D printed plastic. It’s available at a promotional price of US$19.95 through March 18.
