Gamelion has introduced Doodle Fit 1.0, a tiling puzzle game for Mac OS X. It features more than 350 puzzles and 13 visual themes.

Here’s how Doodle Fit is described: “The game challenges players to fit the sets of blocks into the given shapes, both of which are rectilinear, having straight sides that are all connected by ninety degree angles. A level is complete when all the blocks have been used and there is no free space remaining inside the shape.

“Doodle Fit derives its name from the simple, blocky doodles one might create on large grid graph paper. All blocks or pieces in a Doodle Fit puzzle can be drawn on graph paper and consist of a figure that encloses one, two, three, or four squares. There are no diagonals, and so blocks have some resemblance to such letters as: T, I, L, etc. Similarly, the shapes of each puzzle can be drawn on graph paper, and consist of straight horizontal or vertical lines connected by ninety-degree angles. There are 10 different Game Packs included with Doodle Fit, and each Pack contains puzzle shapes related to the same topic, e.g., Letters, Christmas, Games, etc.

Doodle Fit requires Mac OS X 10.6 or later. It costs US$4.99 and is available worldwide exclusively through the Mac App Store in the Games category.
