Gerald Aquila has released Firetask for Mac 2.0, a task management application that combines GTD and traditional task management elements. The new version adds a drag ‘n drop-enabled Organize view that was previously only available on the iPad, a filterable Calendar view and the functionality of searching in active task lists.

Additional new features include custom repeat patterns for scheduled tasks, time-based reminders via Growl, and emailing of project and category task lists. Firetask’s user interface also got a facelift, including a more GTD-like tool navigation, a completely redesigned graphical date chooser, improved drag ‘n drop due to double-click enabled inline-editing and support for fullscreen mode on Mac OS X 10.7 (“Lion”).

Firetask is available at the Mac App Store for US$39.99. Version 2.0 is a free update for registered users.
