JabMenu for Mac OS X gets new customizable hotkeys

JNSoftware ( has updated JABMenu, a tool for utilizing your Mac OS X Address Book data through a system-wide menu, to version 2.6. The upgrade adds new customizable hotkeys, a crash monitor, and improved Mac OS X 10.7 (“Lion”) support.

JABMenu provides access to your contacts’ phone numbers, email, instant messaging, and postal addresses, URLs, and notes. Selecting a menu item can trigger an action such as displaying it in large type, copying it to the clipboard, creating a new email message, dialing the phone, or showing an address on a map.

JABMenu requires Mac OS X 10.5.6 or later. It’s available in English and French. JABMenu costs US$15, though version 2.6 is a free update for registered users of version 2.x.
