Nikolay Kropachev has introduces Photo Police 1.0, his new photography utility for Mac OS X 10.7.x (“Lion”). It costs US$1.99 and is available worldwide exclusively through the Mac App Store in the Photography category.

Photo Police allows you to check photos to see, or validate, any JPEG image manipulation, revealing details such as deleted acne, wrinkle reduction, changed form on nose, etc. The software is designed not to decide for you whether the image has been edited or not.

Photo Police just makes tiny changes in color, which are contained in an image file, but not visible. It can detect following changes: blurring of wrinkles and acne removing; deleted or modified objects in the photo; a hidden image in a photo; and other intervention in low-bit pixel data of images.
