Scosche (http://www.scosche.com) has announced the availability of the fitRAIL exercise mount for iPad and iPad 2. The Scosche fitRAIL is available at Apple retail stores, Apple.com and Scosche.com for US$49.99.

The fitRAIL provides athletes with a convenient way to watch movies and TV shows, listen to music, read and more during workouts. The aluminum fitRAIL mounts to treadmills, exercise bikes, elliptical machines and others found at the gym or in the home.

The user’s iPad or iPad2 rests in the fitRAIL’s mounting tray and is held in place against the frame by Scosche’s patented stickGRIP material. A neoprene clip-on strap attaches to the top of the iPad to lock it into place. The fitRAIL also features soft rubber feet to prevent scratching workout machines and a foldable design and travel pouch for the gym bag.

fitRAIL is also a great way to use the Scosche myTREK pulse monitor and app during workouts, according to Kas Alves, executive vice president of Scosche Industries. Users attach the arm strap monitor to track their pulse, calories burned and time on their iPad or iPad 2.

The Scosche myTREK is available for $129.99 at Scosche.com, Apple.com, Apple retails stores, 24hourfitness.com, 24-Hour Fitness gyms, Verizon.com, Verizon Wireless stores soon and Target.
