Apple posts Safari 5.1.2

Apple has posted Safari 5.1.2, an update to its web browser. It solves a problem of excessive memory use among other things.

Safari 5.1.2 also fixes an issue that could cause webpages to flash white, and adds the ability to display PDFs within Web content. Additionally, the upgrade improves stability and allows PDFs to be displayed within web content.

Safari 5.1.2 is a 40.12MB download and requires Mac OS X 10.7.x (“Lion”). It can be obtained via the Software Updates component of Mac OS X’s Systems Preferences app.
