CrumplePop has released ShrinkRay X, a tilt-shift effect for Final Cut Pro X. And it’s being offered free for one week. After this it will cost US$75.

With ShrinkRay X, you can make big scenes appear tiny, whether it’s buildings, people, or landscapes. Built from the ground-up for Final Cut Pro X, the effect includes simple on-screen controls and a suite of focal area adjustment tools.

With ShrinkRay X, you can add tilt-shift effects to any project by dragging and dropping inside FCP X. There’s a mask view to more quickly see which areas within your frame are blurred and in focus

Three Focus/Blur Patch tools help clean up the frame and create photorealistic focus areas, ShrinkRay X offers control over blur magntitude, orientation, and falloff. You can instantly play back a preview after you’ve applied the effect.

ShrinkRay X supports all codecs, resolutions and frame rates supported by Final Cut Pro X. ShrinkRay X works in Final Cut Pro X only on Mac OS X 10.6 or higher. Users who already have ShrinkRay for FCP 6 and 7 will receive a free upgrade to ShrinkRay X via an updater on the CrumplePop web site (http://www.crumplepop.com).
