“PCMag” (http://www.PCMag.com) has announced its 2011 Best of the Year honorees. This year 138 products — 71 Gold and 68 Silver winners — made the cut, from companies like Apple, HP, Amazon, Nintendo, Symantec and Sony.

The 21-inch Thunderbolt iMac told the silver medal (second place) in the desktop category. The Thunderbolt Mac mini won a silver medal in the compact/slim desktop division.

The 13-inch Thunderbolt Macbook Air took the Gold prize in the ultraportable laptop category. Not surprisingly, the iPad 2 took the top honors in the tablets competition. The iPhone 4S was declared best mobile phone for Sprint (but won no honors for the AT&T and Verizon models).
