Canon U.S.A. (http://www.usa.canon.com) announced the availability of the EFI PrintMe mobile print solution for Canon imageRunner Advance multifunction office products (MFPs).

Developed by EFI utilizing Canon’s MEAP platform, EFI PrintMe provides a method for mobile device users to send documents through EFI’s PrintMe Service for output on Canon imageRunner Advance MFPs. It supports Apple iOS, RIM Blackberry OS, and Google Android mobile platforms and the phone, tablet, and mobile device technologies based on those platforms including the iPhone, iPad, Blackberry smartphones and Android smartphones.

The EFI PrintMe mobile print solution doesn’t require a user to download drivers or install a mobile app to facilitate mobile print. This flexibility may be appealing for enterprise and small-to-medium sized businesses looking to enable print functionality for documents uploaded to the PrintMe Service, without significantly adding to the cost of the application, says Sam Yoshida, vice president and general manager, Imaging Systems Group, Canon U.S.A.
