Keemeo has announced TimeBooth 1.0 for iOS devices. The US$0.99 app uses an algorithm that detects facial features and apply changes based on a statistical model. It offers face transformations, and can transform any face into a child or a teenager, or add wrinkles to a face and make it look older. Four age categories are available: child, teenager, adult and older. The quality of the results depends greatly on the quality of the input pictures.

Big Blue Bubble has released Fling a Thing 1.0, their latest game for iOS devices. The “Things” in the $0.99 app little creatures with suction cups for mouths. Players stretch and fling them into the air to collect bubbles and clear the screen. The player progresses through levels, climbs higher, and interacts with bizarre objects. Fling a Thing sports five different characters and three different worlds.

Ken Tidwell has launched DSLR Mega HD 1.0 for iOS, another in his series of Min-U Guides to Nikon DSLRs. The $8.99 app provides access to information on 11 Nikons by allowing the user to “drill down” through a topic until they find exactly what they need; e.g., from the first page the user may select the topic Custom Setting Menu from among six others, then Timers from five other choices, and finally Self-Timer from four other listings, with details and instructions.

Tinkr Labs has unveiled Navajo Toddler 1.0, an educational app developed exclusively for iOS devices. It’s a $0.99 interactive flash card system for children to become familiar with the Navajo language. Featuring illustrations that help increase retention, children will learn the basic words for each category and will hear the audio of the word in Navajo. The initial release includes three categories that include food, numbers and body parts.

Kdan Mobile has launched Animation Desk for the iPhone, an $2.99 app designed to to encourage users to explore their creative side through the process of animation making. It sports backgrounds, a frame manager, drawing tools, and a series of tutorials, anyone can leverage their creativity and transform ideas into animations. Users can also collaborate on an animation project through file transfer and enjoy the fun with other users.

Appsploration has debuted AdventureBots — Animal Kingdom for the iPad and iPad 2. The $1.99 app offers young users the power to explore the animal kingdom and the animals that create it. The app is focused on providing a highly interactive educational experience that encourages kids and their parents to participate and play together throughout the learning process.

Emityme Apps has rolled out Baby Moments for iPad. The $1.99 app allows you to add pictures and some supporting information to document every aspect of you baby’s life. e those precious moments in a beautiful sliding book format on the iPad.

Mindshapes has served up Lingo Zoo, a $2.99 jigsaw puzzle that teaches animal names in Spanish and English.

CEMG Apps has unleashed Pig Curling, a $0.99 iOS game that flings pigs down the ice in a twist on traditional curling game. Players use their fingers to slide swines across the floor to hit the target and gain points. There are obstacles along the way, turning each level into a puzzle as players work around pins, boards, rails, and holes to get their pigs onto the target.

SEGA has tossed out Brick People the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. In the $1.99 game you build brick steps and structures to help the hungry Brick People reach a collection of delicious snacks. The fun-loving Brick People have varied abilities that can help you complete missions, but be careful as the Brick Monster will create obstacles and throw them in the path of these tasty treat.

In the new iOS game, Katamari Amore, players control the Prince as he rolls his Katamari and wraps up a variety of objects around each stage to increase the Katamari’s size. The game totals 24 missions including six stages and four modes: Story, Time Attack, Exact Size Challenge and Eternal Mode. The freemium title includes a free demo with the full upgrade discounted at $3.99 until Oct. 26; the regular price will be $4.99.
