Blockdot has released a free iPad version of Dingbats. The game challenges you to unravel the answers to three puzzles that share a related theme. To play, click up to 10 letters to help you fill in the phrases. After you click on a letter, it “runs” through the puzzle, filling in any  space in the three phrases in which it belongs.

PS Ventures has released Queue The Music for the iPhone and iPod touch. The free app allows users to build their music playlist without disturbing the current song. Users can add songs, remove songs and move songs about with these changes being made to the playlist while the current song continues playing.

Super Jay has unveiled ABC Adventure HD: Front Yard Defense for the iPad. This children’s game is a throwback to a classic, arcade-style game mixed with a way to teach children about letters and words. It’s created specifically for iPad and geared towards children ages four to seven. ABC Adventure HD is available for 30% off (US$1.99) for one week only.

| daronco has introduced digstant 1.0, an universal iOS app that simplifies the search for online streaming movies. In the $0.99 app, you enter a movie title and digstant will search several content providers including: Netflix Instant Watch, iTunes, Amazon Instant Videos, YouTube Movies, and premium cable channels on demand, so you can find the best place to watch your movie. Other features include Rotten Tomatoes ratings for all new releases, new videos displayed on launch, previews and more.

IdeaSolutions has debuted FBPhotoCart 1.0, its new photo downloader app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users. By using your Facebook account, the $0.99 app allows you to save any pictures from the albums of your friends. You can select the ones that you like directly from the albums, to put them in a special download cart. You can delete any pictures from the download cart holding your finger on them, before the download operation starts. Each photo will be automatically saved in you camera roll.

Grouptime has created grouptime, a social messenger for mobile devices that lets users send all kind of text and multimedia messages to individuals and group,s as well as post status updates to family, friends and colleagues in real-time. The free messaging app serves as a private social network.

Two Gear has rolled out Flashbike Arena 1.0, their single player arcade style racing battle game for iOS devices. In the $1.99 game, players attempt to earn points by causing opponents to crash into the colored wall that trails behind their “Flashbike.” Additional points and multipliers can be earned by collecting the “energy cores” left behind as the wreckage of an enemy’s crashed bike. The game features Game Center support with achievements and leaderboards.

Nexus 6 has brewed up Java Run, a $0.99 mobile app that keeps track of all your drink orders for you without the hassle of writing them down on paper or trying to commit them to memory. Is your colleague already at the coffee shop? No problem, you can simply email them the order directly from the app. The format allows anyone to read the order to the barista, without having to worry about decoding your friends’ handwriting.

Sparkin’ Apps has unleashed Monster Warrior for iSO devices. Here’s how the game is described: “Monsters are on the loose and unsuspecting bunnies are their prime targets for torment! Do you have what it takes to guide the bunnies to safety out of reach of the evil witch and her monster minions?” Monster Warrior costs $0.99 for the iPhone/iPod touch version and $1.99 for the iPad version.

Lexia is offering MyLexia for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. It provides real-time student skills data and norm-referenced performances measures. With mobile access to Lexia’s Assessment Without Testing technology, teachers and administrators have actionable performance data at the point of instruction. MyLexia is free and requires an active subscription to the Lexia Reading software.

Chilistreet has developed adBox 1.0, a memory booster game for iOS devices. This $0.99 tapping app requires players to remember and repeat the sequence of colored shapes as they pop-up to earn points. 


Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. has created the Institutional Research app for iPad and iPhone, giving clients the opportunity to access the firm’s sell-side research more quickly and on the go. One of the free app’s key features is the client Watch List. This feature lets clients subscribe to the analysts, ticker symbols and industries they’re most interested in, and receive alerts when new research is published on the relevant topics.
