Preschool University has announced ABC Spanish Reading Magic 1.0 for iOS, their 15th free education app. It provides practice in reading elementary Spanish, but also teaches the two prerequisite skills: blending and segmentation. The app has three modes: Blending, where children touch a row of rectangles, hear a sound from each one, and blend them together to form a word; Segmentation, where kids hear a word, then separate it into sounds; and Reading, where students read complete words.

Kidoodle Apps has released Pirate Scribblebeard’s Treasure with Oscar & Josephine, an US$3.99 drawing, doodling, and imagining iPad app for kids. It’s designed to encourage children to draw, to imagine and to have fun. The app’s interactive pages come to life as children doodle their way on an adventure filled with animated pirates, hidden treasure, and their very own pirate ship.

Chimani has unveiled Chimani Rocky Mountain National Park 1.0 for iOS and Android. The $1.99 app is a resource for anyone exploring the sixth most visited national park in the United States. It delivers a 45-minute audio tour of the Trail Ridge Road, a high-resolution, custom-made map that’s GPS-enabled, hiking guide for the most popular trails in the park, schedules for all the free shuttle buses, updated ranger led activities, over 100 photos and more.

Dobsoft Studios has introduced Gun Fu, their third gaming title for iOS devices. The $0.99 game puts the player in the shoes of a master gunman, particularly adept at dual-wielding pistols. Chaos ensues as they must defend themselves against relentless hoards of enemies, firing off headshot after headshot.

Wuxi Qinhuai Interactive has debuted Bobo Snail 1.0 for iPad users. It’s a $0.99 game in which players must rescue Bobo from aliens. To do so, they must move certain bricks into place to get him past killer obstacles, which change on each level and may include deadly fire bricks, toxic bees, or evil bricks. Bobo Snail also features a Game Center, where players can go to check scores from all over the world.

CMG Labs has grown Squishy Fruit 1.0 for iOS and Android devices. Designed to test a host of skills across all age groups, the $0.99 game has a simple aim; gamers have to squish fruit, maggots and flies that come at them relentlessly. It features over 30 levels.

Sprockit Education has developed EMT for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. The $2.99 app is designed for studying for the Emergency Medical Technicians exam easier.

Cyphersoft has created Roomie Remote 1.0 for iOS devices. The $9.99 universal remote offers the ability to detect many home theater components automatically without additional hardware and create configurations entirely on an iOS device. Roomie also supports traditional infrared devices with the addition of palm-sized adapters that require neither line of sight to components nor coffee table gadgetry.

Daypick is offering Funny Riddles 500 series ii for the iPhone and iPod touch. The $0.99 app contains over 1000 riddles.

Nevosoft has served up Million Dollar Quest: Hidden Object Adventure. It’s a hidden object game with original puzzles and mini-games. You play from the perspective of Sandra who accepts an invitation to participate in a race around the world in which the winner is awarded one million dollars. The iPhone/iPod touch version is $2.99; the iPad version costs $4.99.

Wildlings is the first iOS app from Metamoki. The $0.99 app takes gamers on an adventure as they take control of the various Wildlings and protect their babies from the invading evil Creeps. Wildlings consists of 45 levels and includes tap-to-attack mechanics.

Playpen Studios says Skillz: The DJ Game, a music and rhythm title, is now available for the iPad. The full version of the game, which features five venues, six DJs and a 25 song library to play through, may be downloaded for $5.99, while a lite version — with select songs — is available for free.

Race illegal: High Speed 3D is a new game with a variety of race modes and vehicle customization options in a 3D package. From crashing to drifting to simply being the fastest racer on the street, Race illegal provides everything a speedfreak needs. It’s on sale for a limited time for $0.99 as compared to the normal price of $2.99.

Gum Drop is a new puzzle game in which you match corresponding words and images as time counts down in this puzzle game. It costs $0.99 for the iPhone/iPod touch version and $1.99 for the iPad version.
