Intelligent Design Communications has announced Yodel 1.0, a personal safety network utility for the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 4. The US$0.99 app turns an iOS device into a safety beacon for people who enjoy outdoor sports and activities. A message is formatted with the user’s activity/route, estimated time of return and location coordinates and sent via SMS and/or email to selected contacts. Along the way, users can send waypoints or activate an S.O.S. emergency system.

iStoryTime has released The Smurfs Movie Storybook 1.0, a children’s storybook app for iOS devices. The $2.99 storybook follows Papa Smurf, Grouchy, Brainy, Clumsy, Gutsy, and Smurfette on their journey to a faraway land called New York City. Following the original movie storyline, it gives fans a Smurfy sneak peek of exclusive images and voiceovers from the film prior to its U.S. debut on July 29.

Brent Chionh has introduced imgTumble 1.0 for iPad, a $199 photo browsing app for the microblogging site, Tumblr. It features a three-column interface with a scrollable lists of photos. The app also allows anyone to quickly post photos to Tumblr from the iPad library or camera, and has a lock screen for privacy.

GreatSchools has launched free mobile app in the Apple App Store. The GreatSchools Finder allows parents, realtors, and educators to find information, ratings, and reviews on 125,000 K-12 public and private schools in the U.S.

Kdan Mobile has rolled out Animation Desk for iPhone 1.0, the iPhone version of its iPad entertainment app. The $2.99 app lets you create hand-drawn animations with a drawing interface that resembles the working environment of a professional animator who completes each frame of an animation on a specially-designed desk, the animation desk.

Pooka Pooka Hawaii, in association with App Partner Development, has developed Bobble Head Hawaii for iOS devices. In the $0.99 app, the player first takes a picture of himself to get his face transformed into the Bobble Head of the character. Then the player takes control of himself and surfs the big Hawaiian waves. The player uses their finger to dodge oncoming obstacles and gather rewards. When the curl comes out the player can drag their surfer into it to power-up their curl-o-meter.

XCool Apps has cooked up iMReports 1.0, their latest iOS app designed for both ClickBank affiliates and vendors. With the app — which is being offered for a limited time for $9.99– ClickBank affiliates and vendors can check their sales activities using an iPhone or iPod touch. iMReports supports an unlimited number accounts of both ClickBank and ClickBank Master.

Little Princess, the royal star and staple of Channel 5’s milkshake!, is now available on the iPod, iPhone and iPad. It features four games for tots and toddlers to enjoy as they join in with some of Little Princess’ favorite activities and play along with her household of familiar friends including Puss, Scruff and Gilbert the teddy. Little Princes costs US$1.99 for the iPhone/iPod version and $2.99 for the iPad version.

Digital Media Interactive has unleashed Hello Zoo for Kids 1.0 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. It’s a free educational app for infants and toddlers. Touch anywhere in the landscape background to trigger a flipping dolphin, roaring lion or jumping goat.
