Frimby Limited has announced trimit 1.0, an automatic text summarizer and condenser for iOS devices. The US$0.99 app utilizes an algorithm to automatically summarize, or “trim” text to any specified length.

QUByte Interactive has released Baby Jones 1.0 for iOS, a 3D, animated puzzle game where players try to guide a toddler as he crawls by strategically moving objects in the environment. Players must anticipate the baby’s path as he is drawn to toys, open spaces, and candy. Baby Jones includes 30 puzzles and four environments. The iPhone/iPod touch version is $0.99; the iPad version is $1.99.

AESG Fitness has introduced Oracle Fitness 1.0 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. The $2.99 app dynamically generates customized workout plans, taking into account variables such as age, fitness level, sex and available equipment. There are more than 600 exercises and video demonstrations for phased and blended programs.

LittleWing Co.has unveiled Pinball Tristan for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The $0.99 app is an iOS launch of the Mac game of the same name. Pinball Tristan combines 3D retro graphics, old-fashioned pinball and a variety of new twists.

Electric Butterfly and NovelRank.com have teamed up to produce the free NovelRank iOS app. It brings international Amazon sales rank tracking for multiple books to the iPhone and iPod touch.

ComicBook! is a new $0.99 app that runs on iPhones, iPads and iPod touches. With it you can change photos into images that resemble comic drawings that then may be arranged in dozens of the different multi-panel page layouts.

Intelligent Design has developed a $1.99 mobile app called aWareAbouts 1.0 for the iPhone to help parents keep track of their children without being overly intrusive. A check-in time is scheduled into a child’s phone. When this time comes, aWareAbouts activates a reminder for the child to check-in. The child then has the option of either calling or sending a message via text or email with their specific location coordinates attached with a single touch.

LetterMpress, a new app for the Apple iPad, replicates traditional letterpress printing in a hands-on iPad experience. In the $5.99 app, users select vintage wood type and art images, mix ink colors, select paper, and hand-crank the virtual letterpress to produce graphic designs for prints, posters, books, invitations, greeting cards, photo albums, and more.

KidSpring Studio has created Letter & Number Sequencing — Space Aliens 1.0 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices running on iOS 4.2 or later.This $1.99 mobile learning utility is designed to help kids interpret and understand basic numbers and the alphabet both symbol by symbol and as full sequences.

Mindwarm is offering AddTo Oahu 1.0 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The $0.99 lets you create your own travel guide from your photos and notes. You can create your own map with the highlights you want, photo album and travel diary. At any time you can add a note or photo to your album. If you have allowed location, then your current location will be added to that note and photo.

Polymash and Mimi Cross have published The Crankamacallit 1.0 for iPad. It’s a $4.99 children’s story about building a fantastic vehicle.

Shortstack has served upPhoto Safari! The $0.99 game features 50 animals, ranging from favorites like an elephant and a tiger to what might be new animals for kids, such as a hedgehog, a sloth and a peacock. It’s a search game, where kids look for a particular animal in a sea of other animals. After kids find the target animal, they zoom in for a close up, see a quick animation, then click their camera to take a picture.

TileSpeak Software has announced TileSpeak for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices running on iOS 4.0 or later. The $1.99 provides anyone interested in learning the Chinese language with a way to develop and expand their comprehension of written Chinese characters by simply playing Mahjong Solitaire on their mobile devices in their free time. Each game piece is stamped with a single character, and bears a tonal association by color on the game board.

Phenom Studios has released Scribble Show 1.0 for the Phone and iPod touch. Here’s how the $0.99 game is described: “Megan’s big night at the Scribble Show has finally come, and it’s up to you to make sure that her first performance is as great as possible. Use the Power-ups to keep Megan on stage. Blow up, Freeze, Reduce speed and more. Icon Games Entertainment has rolled out Bashi Blocks 1.0.0 for iOS. Previously released on Nintendo WiiWare, PlayStation Minis and PCs, the app features a built-in game editor; you can even structure your own game tournament and make your own game. Bashi Blocks includes 90 levels and 10 boss stages. It costs $1.99 for the iPhone/iPod touch version and $2.99 for the iPad version.

Protect-A-Bed has introduced the free Bed Bug Plague. It’s a reference guide on bed bugs, including how to recognize them, details on their appearance and the symptoms they cause.

Health Discovery Corp., a molecular diagnostics company that uses patent protected advanced mathematical techniques for personalized medicine, has launched MelApp for the iPhone. This app for melanoma risk assessment — available for $1.99 for a limited time — is designed to help users learn about melanoma and identify areas on their skin that may need attention from a physician specializing in the diagnosis of melanoma.

Orbitz (http://www.orbitz.com) has launched the Orbitz Hotels App, a native, free iPad application that gives customers a search-and-book experience. It offers travelers the entire selection of Orbitz hotel properties, comparison tools and secure booking.

Weyrich Enterprises has debuted a free mobile shopping application, Divalicious, which Divalicious features a shopper-based virtual mannequin, called “Dress Yourself”, on which more than 300 popular brands, comprised of almost one million items of apparel, shoes and accessories for women, men, children and infants, can be pieced together, viewed as an entire ensemble, and purchased.
