Nektony Disk Inspector is new file organizer for the Mac

Nektony has introduced Nektony Disk Inspector (http://nektony.com), the company’s first product for Mac OS X. It’s a disk space analysis and organization tool.

The program scans any supported drive and generates a chart representing the file system. This visual representation is designed to help identify the largest files and take further steps for optimizing the content of the drive and freeing up disk space.

Nektony Disk Inspector integrates with familiar system tools, so the user can preview a file using QuickLook and get detailed information about it with one or two clicks. The user can start managing the files shown on the chart immediately after they appear on the screen and doesn’t have to wait until the end of the scanning and analysis process.

At the moment, Nektony Disk Inspector supports HDD volumes, CD and DVD discs, removable USB drives and even mounted DMG’s. It’s available in the Mac App Store for US$8.99 and requires Mac OS X 10.6 or later.
