Pomfort, a software provider for digital film production workflows, has extended its Silverstack SET with new features for metadata transfer from the film set to Avid Media Composer.

Silverstack SET is software for media management, quality check and back-up on the film set; it’s tailored to the needs of digital film production workflows. The new transfer feature of Silverstack SET enables users to enrich their standard editorial workflow with information from the film set.

Silverstack SET’s clip library automatically collects all descriptive and technical metadata from movie files during offloading and quality check. This information can now be transferred from the clip library to the Media Composer via AVID Log Exchange (ALE) files.

A 14-day trial version is available as a free download on the Pomfort website (http://pomfort.com/). Pricing ranges from US$265 to $650 depending on your film production hardware. Silverstack SET requires an Intel Mac with Mac OS X 10.6 or higher.
