Active Storage delivers higher density ActiveRAID systems

Active Storage (http://www.activestorage.com), which specializes in high-performance storage solutions for media and creative professionals, has released higher-density versions of ActiveRAID, its RAID storage solution.

The new systems offer 48TB of storage capacity in three rack-units (3RU) and deliver higher throughput in post and broadcast production SAN environments with the same ease of deployment and management for which ActiveRAID is known, says Mark Lonsdale, senior vice president of Engineering of Active Storage.

The new systems are available in both self-contained high-availability Active/Active RAID configurations and add-on expansion systems. Systems are compatible with all modern operating and file systems and highly optimized for use in Apple Xsan and StorNext SAN configurations.

48TB configurations are available immediately from Active Storage resellers worldwide in US$25,999 and $23,999 configurations.
