Independent developer Linus Winterseel has introduced Websearch Pro 1.0 (http://macte.ch/Uvth8), a search utility for Mac OS X (10.6 or higher). For the next few days the app is being offered for US$0.99 in the Mac App Store. After that, the price will raise to $1.99 USD.

Websearch Pro offers a solution to search anything via its toolbar application. It features switching between different search engines, as well as the possibility to create your own search sources. You can navigate through the search engines with the arrow keys, type in your search term, press Return, and you’re done.

With Websearch Pro you can add and edit nearly every search engine or website you need. You can also choose a keyboard shortcut and use it to call the app, as well as activate autostart at log-in.
