Gemini (http://www.geminidj.com) has announced the availability of the FirstMix — an USB DJ Controller for aspiring DJs.

It connects to a laptop or desktop via USB and allows users to DJ with their iTunes or other music library by navigating through folders and tracks with the browse function. Once a file’s been loaded, the touch-sensitive jog wheels let you scratch or can be used to bend the pitch of a track.

FirstMix also has a Sync feature that allows the DJ to combine two separate tracks and beat match the tempos. You can spice up tracks with effects and reverse, as well as adjustable bass and treble. You can record a set and share on Facebook or SoundCloud.

The FirstMix ships with Cross LE DJ software from MixVibes and is also compatible with Traktor, Virtual DJ, Algoriddim’s DJAY and other popular DJ software. Priced at US$99.95, the FirstMix is available at retailers like Pro Sound Stage and Lighting, Musician’s Friend and more.
