‘MUG Event Calendar’: Lynda.com, keychains, more

May comes to an end with a U.S. holiday weekend, but “The MUG Event Calendar” isn’t quiet.

Apple Senior Systems Engineer Dave Marra will visit an Illinois group, while game developer Jay Jennings will talk to his local user group in Alaska. Other topics on tap this week include an introduction to the training of Lynda.com, iPhoto ‘11, keychains, Microsoft Office 2011, and a picnic and swap meet.

“The MUG Event Calendar” can be found at The MUG Center (http://www.mugcenter.com), an online resource for Mac User Groups. MUGs are good places for making new friends in the Mac community, improving your computing skills, finding solutions to technical problems, and perhaps locating a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s MUG page (http://www.apple.com/usergroups/).
