Apple’s laptops excelled in the latest Consumer Reports’ laptop ratings (http://macte.ch/lJRkK). All models of the MacBook Pro, MacBook and MacBook Air received good to great scores.
The latest 15-inch MacBook Pros led their division with 76 to 78 points (out of 100). The 17-inch models garnered 80 and 81 points, topping their category. The 13-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook rated 70 to 72 points. The MacBook Airs tallied 76 points.
Consumer Reports dubbed the 11-inch MacBook Air as the best choice for mobility, and the 13-inch MacBook Air as the best for mobility without sacrificing performance.
Apple’s iPad 2 also fared well. In the tablet computer category, Consume Reports ranked Apple’s 32GB iPad 2 with 3G support in first place. The 32GB iPad with Wi-Fi came in second and the first generation, 32GB iPad with 3G came in third.
