Kaiser & Kaiser has announced sprintTimer 1.0 for the iPhone 4 and 3Gs, their photo finish app that employs the same techniques used in the Olympics. With the US$0.99 you start the timer and point the camera towards the finish line. SprintTimer will build an image of narrow slices of the finish line, each representing 0.03 seconds in time. Users can then scroll along the photo to get the time when each competitor crossed the finish line with 0.01 s resolution. The app also includes a motion controlled lap timer.

Mention Mobile has released Pocket Friends 1.0 for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. It’s a free, casual game that offers the opportunity for users to dive deeper into their friendships. Pocket Friends utilizes Facebook information to allow users to play several different game modes including Friend Trivia, Q & A Interview, Photo Friendzy and Match Party. You can earn keys to unlock the Pocket Friend characters and gift them to friends.

CatfishBlues Games has introduced Hyperlight 1.0, a game for iOS devices. It’s an arcade action game focused on the use of the accelerometer. You control a spaceship that increases its speed according to the inclination of the device. Powered by the Unity 3D engine, Hyperlight — being offered for $0.99 for a limited time — features eight special bonuses and destructive weapons, eight challenging boss battles with 40 different levels in Arcade mode, Game Center support and more.

Anishu has launched Debt Strategy 1.0, a personal finance application for iOS devices. Developed specifically to help users take control of their debts, the $0.99 helps users identify the best pay-off strategy for their debts and execute on the chosen strategy. Users can enter their debts and see when each debt will be paid off, as well as accelerate the payoff by either adding payments from the paid off loans or by making additional payment.

AppGeneration has debuted Crazy Landing 1.0 for iOS. The $0.99 strategy game has you journey to the Moon, Mars and Jupiter. Concentrate on landing your spaceship on the designated planet.

Peninsula Gameworks announces an update to Spectre 3D for iOS. The $0.99 app is a retro re-make of the multiplayer game Spectre. This updated version features support for the iPad, Retina display, plus 25 Game Center Achievements and five Leaderboards. It also sports a new arcade game.
