Desktop search engine supports Adobe, Quark, Microsoft

Markzware (http://www.markzware.com) has announced PageZephyr 2.11, a free update of the desktop search and content extraction engine for InDesign and other formats on the Mac.

PageZephyr desktop search converts InDesign, QuarkXPress and Publisher documents to the Internet. Version 2.11 supports InDesign CS5 plus extracts and exports text to your WordPress Blog, Scribd, Google Docs, and Box.net accounts.

PageZephyr searches documents within InDesign, Publisher and QuarkXPress and extracts and finds content within specific areas across file types. It’s a semi-automatic content creator, providing ability to merge, edit and combine content.

This search engine finds content in multiple documents in different formats and highlights search criteria. You can customize discovered text by editing font styles, size, colors, etc., to optimize for output options.

PageZephyr costs US$99. It runs on Mac OS X 10.5.8 or higher.
