Apple COO hints at cheaper iPhones

Apple Chief Operating Officer Tim Cook hints that we’ll see a cheaper iPhone in the near future in an interview with Bernstein analyst Toni Sacconaghi, as reported by “Business Insider” (http://macte.ch/dQi3C).

Cook says Apple is doing “clever things” to attack the prepaid market, because he wants Apple to be “for everyone,” not “just for the rich.” The COO tools Sacconaghi that he also recognizes “price is big factor in the prepaid market,” but Apple is not “ceding any market.”

Cook added that says Apple has been driving into China, which is “a classic prepaid market.”
