FonYou, a global technology company based in Barcelona,has announced a free iPhone application that lets users download mobile numbers from the Apple App Store.
 
Once the application is installed customers can immediately activate and use their new “fonYou number” from their existing mobile phone. The fonYou application creates a virtual phone line that allows users to have two numbers on the same mobile phone, doesn’t require an extra SIM card and works with any Spanish mobile operator.

Appsequence has released SalaryBook 1.0 for iOS, their US$2.99 app that tracks earnings of those who charge hourly. They enter their hourly rate, working dates, start and end time, and unbillable time into the Template Settings. Moving to the Dashboard, users may choose to automatically compute total earnings today, this month, or this year. The calendar window displays days worked and selecting any date displays editable work info. Freelancers may set parameters to generate earnings reports.

Mupotoon has introduced MuPoToon 1.0, an animated series for the iPhone, bringing a tongue-in-cheek look at the world’s biggest political news of the day. It’s a free, short animated spoof on global leaders and events shown through the mix of music, politics and cartoons. The first episode of Mupotoon is dedicated to the controversy surrounding the list of tax-evading celebrities.

Verietas Software has unveiled Battery Alert! 1.0, their real-time battery monitor for the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. To help maintain awareness of your iDevice battery life, the $0.99 app is specifically designed to ensure you always know when your battery needs a little extra juice. Battery Alert! provides the exact same real-time battery monitoring capability, but with a larger and more standard set of alerts.

Polka Dots Publishing and storybook app developer PicPocket Books have rolled out “Penelope the Purple Pirate” for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. In the interactive book, the title character’s room is transformed into a pirate ship and she goes on a treasure hunt with her trusty friends. The app is available for $1.99 for the iPhone/iPod touch version and $2.99 for the iPad version.

Shawn Hitchcock has unleashed Mad Monkey 1.0, his wife-inspired arcade game for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The $0.99 game features a little cartoon monkey that always keeps a smile on his face while sliding back and forth across the top of the screen throwing down objects that the user tries to catch using only a finger. Each level has a different theme including a picnic crashing monkey throwing fruit, circus scene with a clown monkey, a science lab with two cloned monkeys, and more.

Moving Tales has published Unwanted Guest 1.0, their second story in the Classic World Tale series for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. The Unwanted Guest is an $4.99 adaptation of a traditional Jewish folk tale, where a poor old man, down on his luck and living in a tumbledown house, is visited by an unwelcome house guest. The story tells of the old man’s attempt to rid himself of his surprising visitor once and for all.

Web Masters has updated myDay+ for iOS devices to version 1.2. myDay + is a $4.99 day planning, performance, and recording application. The app provides a suite of integrated services including appointment planning, todos, push notification reminders, photo receipt recording, email reminders, phone dialing, contact management, and emailing. Plus an associated web site provides all the functionality of the iOS app, plus additional functions for data export and picture management.

Nagaraja Rivers has announced Speak Thai Sanuk 1.2 for iOS, an update to their $1.99 phrasebook for the Thai language. Speak Thai Sanuk contains a total of 586 words and phrases. Each phrase is presented in a large-sized Thai script and phonetic spelling complete with tone marks.

MacPhun has updated FX Photo Studio HD, a dynamic photo processing app for iPad, to version 3.0. The $2.99 features photo effects and filters. Users can apply these effect on images, adjust and mix them, as well as combine multiple effects together and save sequences into presets for future use. Along with new effects, the update adds a completely customizable interface and more.
