Drops app drops onto Mac OS X

Software developer Christian Kienle has introduced Drops 1.0 (http://christian-kienle.de/Drops/), his new application for Mac OS X. It’s a tool for uploading files.

Simply drop files or folders on the Drops icon in your menu bar. Your files will be uploaded to your server and the URL copied to the clipboard. You can then paste the URL wherever you want. Drops can also automatically shorten the URL for you. You can tell Drops to automatically compress files and folders before uploading.

Drops requires Mac OS X 10.6 or later. For a limited time, it’s being offered for US$0.99 and available worldwide exclusively through the Mac App Store in the Utilities category.
