ThinkGeek (http://www.thinkgeek.com) has released he JoyStick-It Arcade Stick, a solid aluminum joystick that attaches to any tablet gaming device — including the iPad — to provide precision control of touch screen games.

“Out of the box, the JoyStick-It works with thousands of different game apps,” says Ty Liotta, head of ThinkGeek product development.  “We chose to use solid-milled aluminum because it was lightweight but also provided the most realistic arcade gaming feel.”

Invented at ThinkGeek, the patent-pending JoyStick-It requires no batteries to operate. Priced at US$24.95, it will be available in limited quantities by the end of January.  Consumers can sign up for product updates and read more about the JoyStick-It on ThinkGeek’s web site.
