As of Dec. 25, Apple’s products topped the most-gifted items in all the categories on Amazon in which it competed except television and video products (where Roku reigned supreme). However, there were some discrepancies, however, between what people wished for and what was purchased for them, reports “Fortune” (http://tech.fortune.cnn.com/2010/12/25/apple-tops-amazons-most-gifted-lists/).
Apple TV, for example, was the No. 1 “Most Wished For” product in TV and video and Roku No. 2. Although Macs were the top four most-wished for desktop computers, they took only the top two spots in the Most Gifted and Bestseller lists.
