Bioserie ‘grows’ an iPod touch case made of plants

Bioserie (, a company that engineers ways in which bioplastics are used, has announced its line of iPod touch 4G cases made of plant material, providing an environmentally friendly option for Apple device owners who want complete protection without sacrificing natural resources. The cases are US$34.95 each.

Emitting considerably less greenhouse gas in the manufacturing process, bioserie covers are made from a unique blend of bioplastics that are all derived from plants and annually renewable resources, says bioserie CEO Kaya Kaplancali. The fourth generation iPod touch marks the expansion of bioserie’s existing line of “made of plants” covers, which includes cases for the iPhone 4, iPhone 3G/3GS, iPod touch 2G/3G and iPod nano, he adds.
