Bome Software has announced Christmas Greeting — After the Beep! which applies Bome’s audio processing techniques to a holiday-themed consumer mobile application. Christmas Greeting allows users to record a voice message, mix and remix their message with combinations of 15 background holiday tunes, 11 locations (like Santa’s Slay, Christmas Party and Heaven) and 17 greeting wrappers (like the printed text on a greeting card. Users can then share their message directly to voicemail through a process called VoiceText, or through Facebook, Twitter or email. Christmas Greeting is a free promotional version of After the Beep!
Mother and daughter team, Lynn and Molly Rasmussen, have released Men Are Easy — New Year Resolutions, a lifestyle app for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Adapted from the “Men Are Easy,” the $1.99 app is billed as “a modern girl’s DYI guide to love and life.” Whether single, married, looking for love, or over it, women are entertained by tips and resolutions under categories like “You Can Change Him,” “Communication Is Not the Key,” and “Don’t Work At It.”
Bear Grylls: The Bear Essentials’ has launched for iOS devices for $6.99. It’s a hands-on survival tool from the “ultimate survivor,” Bear Grylls.
Halcyon Touch Software has introduced Halcyon Calc Lite for iOS devices. It’s a $4.99 RPN calculator with complex number and symbolic expression support. With over 190 built-in operations, these functions can be combined into expressions and plotted in an X/Y coordinate space. The app is designed for students, engineers and scientists. Cut, copy and paste is supported. X/Y plots are directly manipulated through pinch to zoom and panning gestures.
Soteria Systems has unveiled Forsse Assist for iPhone, a personal safety service that purportedly protects you nationwide. It provides access to a professional and certified personal alarm monitoring team by pushing a button on the Forsse Assist app. Phone users can download the Forsse app from the iTunes App Store and subscribe to the service through the Forsse web site. Forsse is offering the first 30 days free on a monthly subscription (it’s normally $14.95 per month) by entering the promo code: FORSSE30. The Forsse service is also available with a $150 annual subscription.

It allows consumers to access information about new, used and certified vehicles, compare prices and mileage, locate dealers and map directions, access CarFax vehicle history Reports and call or email dealerships directly. Users will also be able to search cars directly from the dealer’s lot by entering a vehicle’s VIN (vehicle identification number) or stock number.
ABCmouse.com Early Learning Academy, an educational web site for children preschool through kindergarten has published a collection of three interactive apps for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. They’re $0.99 each.

SKH Apps has introduced Words With Fries 1.0, a new word finder app for iOS devices. The $0.99 app is word research tool for word games like Scrabble and Words. Users enter random letters into its word building engine, then after a few shakes of a pack of French fries it spits out words on the screen, along with a phrase. Afterwards, tapping on any word brings up its online definition.
