Here are the latest iPhone/iPod touch/iPod/iPad apps announced. You can find ’em at the Apple App Store (http://www.itunes.com/appstore/).

Edward Dowling has announced Safety Switch 1.0, his new personal panic alarm for iPhone and iPod touch devices. The US$0.99 app allows users to send a distress message with their location to friends and family, ward off predators and call emergency services. Safety Switch features a one-touch shortcut to emergency services, a torch and loud, audible alarm serve to ensure users are out of danger as quickly as possible.

Mobwe has released Taptronics 1.0, a $0.99 iPhone and iPod touch game to practice and test reflex and reaction times. It features multiplayer mode to challenge a friend and an in app voice chat for communication during a challenge. Players can select from two themes to practice the play. Taptronics features two play modes, multiplayer ability, leaderboards and supports Game Center.

IJApps has introduced a free, lite version of Pop The Pigeon. The lite version has the first eight levels from Pop The Pigeon, an accelerometer controlled action/arcade game. The player must keep a laser targeted on fast moving pigeons using tilt control long enough for them to heat up and pop.

Drahtwerk has unveiled iScreen 1.0, an app that turns any iOS device into a real wireless desktop touchscreen-monitor. The array of features include Retina dDisplay support, virtual keyboard and touch input, multiple resolutions, several compression options and a fast network protocol. All iScreen needs is a computer connected to the same network as the iPhone and the installation of the desktop drivers. It’s being offered for $4.99 for a limited time.

WSL Apps has debuted Superhero Creator 1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch. The $0.99 app allows users to create their very own superhero. You start by giving the hero a name, then a costume. After that, you can test out the hero’s abilities against robots.

SpinTop Games, a division PopCap Games, the worldwide leader in casual games, has launched Escape Rosecliff Island, a new “hidden object” puzzle game for the iPhone and iPod touch as well as Escape Rosecliff Island HD for the iPad.  Based on the original PC version, the iPhone (iPod touch) and iPad adaptations of the game are available for $2.99 and US$4.99, respectively.

Nuance Communications is offering Dragon Medical Mobile Recorder for iOS devices. The free app is designed to offer clinical documentation flexibility by enabling mobile point-of-care dictation that’s connected to speech-enabled transcription platforms, eScription and Dictaphone Enterprise Speech System, and the fully-outsourced Nuance Transcription Services offering.

Disney Publishing Worldwide has rolled out Princess Dress-Up: My Sticker Book for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The 1.99 app allows girls of all ages to dress up their favorite Disney princesses.

Developer Mathieu Brassard has announced EducaVroom 1.0 for iOS devices. Especially designed for babies and preschoolers, the $1.99 app presents kids with 72 high-quality pictures of transport modes, their sounds and also the correct pronunciations of their names. Touching the picture will reveal the sound the transport mode makes, and touching the name will pronounce it.

GlimmerWave software has released Sonic Slug Bricks Free 1.0.0, a free version of the sound-driven arcade game for the iPhone and iPod touch. With neon graphics, sound controlled weapons and Game Center leader boards, Sonic Slug Bricks Free brings immersive sonic gaming to iOS. Players use voice input to energize projectiles and trigger power-ups.

KwiqApps has introduced 12 Days of Christmas, a music game based on the traditional Christmas song of the same name. The $0.99 app blends the game play of Rock Band with a hint of Whack a Mole. 12 Days of Christmas can be enjoyed in two modes. In Watch mode, get a feel for the pace of the music. The Play mode allows players to score points by finger tapping images of the 12 gifts mentioned in the song.

Mindwarm has launched AddTo Kansas City 1.0 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The $0.99 app lets you create your own travel guide from your photos and notes. You can create your own map with the highlights you want, photo album and travel diary. At any time you can add a note or photo to your album. If you have allowed location, then your current location will be added to that note and photo.

CodeLathe has unveiled Tonido 1.0 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. The free app offers users remote access to all of the documents, music, photo and video files that are stored on their home computer. Tonido also allows files to be shared via email and photos can be uploaded from an iDevice to a computer. iPhone 3GS and 4 users are able to listen to music in the background while working with their files.

N’Joy iPhone Apps has announced Doodle Light 2.0, an update of the free app for iPhone 4 users. It’s a LED flashlight that users can just shake to turn on, users can click one button to turn on real flashlight, or simply take its window. Doodle Light is always on until the application is closed. There is an option to set default light state, and supports strobe feature.

Planet Next has debuted Drawthings 1.0, a sketching app for the iPad and iPhone that lets users jot down and share sketches in minutes. The $4.99 app includes white-on-black and black-on-white drawing modes; the user can also draw in red. Users can send sketches to Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, and Tumblr, as well as saving them to the Photo Library, copying them to the clipboard, emailing them, and printing them directly from the app.

Gogogic, the independent Icelandic pioneers of casual and social gaming, says its shape-matching puzzler Symbol6 Redux is now available on the Apple App Store priced at $0.99 for iPhone and iPod touch and $2.99 for iPad.

To celebrate their first six months creating iPhone games and entertainment apps, Neon Play has launched Fat Santa 1.0, a free Christmas app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Fat Santa comes with three games in one app, plus Game Center support with global leaderboards and achievements. In all of the games, you need to help Fat Santa get the food as he’s always hungry.

Serene IT has updated Seretech iBlaster 1.2, their free laser gun simulator app for iOS devices, to version 1.2. It was designed to be used by children to play cops and robbers in a non-threatening fashion as it doesn’t produce realistic weapon graphics or sound effects. Seretech iBlaster features audio and visual help cues, an ammo counter, on/off switch, visual overheat warning indicator, overheat and “low ammo” audible warnings, dynamic atmospheric and more.

MicaRed has released an updated version of OverTheAir, a new version of WebDAV client app for iPhone and iPad. The new version (1.4) supports AirPrint, iOS 4.2’s new feature that users can wirelessly print files with compatible printers.

RogueSheep has updated their SnoGlobe holiday-themed app for iOS devices to version 2.0. Users can decorate the globe with their own photos, which is filled with delicate snowflakes that react to movement and gravity just like a real snow globe. At any time the scene can be frozen and shared with friends or a loved one using Facebook, Twitter or email. Version 2.0 incorporates Apple’s new iAd technology, brings compatibility with iOS 4.2 and is now free.

James Hollender has introduced iCarbs 1.2, an update of his $1.99 app for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. It allows users to find out how many carbohydrates are in over 1,100 different food servings, critical information especially for diabetics who need to restrict their intake of carbohydrates. This app is the second in a series of seven Nutrient apps based on the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference.

Bitmantra has shipped Stock Genie 2.2.2 for iPhone and iPod touch ($4.99) and Stock Genie HD 1.1 for iPad users ($5.99). Stock Genie uses 12-15 different criteria for each sector in order to produce as many as ten stock or mutual fund picks each and every day. After the selected stocks are broken down and studied in detail, the Stock Genie presents users with the single best pick of the day.

AppBC has updated touchAble, a dedicated Ableton Live controller app for iPad, to version 1.1.1. The $24.99 app allows musicians, DJs, producers and performers to fully control and perform Ableton Live directly from their iPads. Version 1.1.1 includes direct access to waveform view in Live, momentary mode, multi sends in four tracks view mode, selectable colors of volume and send faders and more.

Prativo Group has unveiled update to KitchenPad Timer for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.It’s a time management app that’s available for $1.99 through Dec. 31 (its normally $2.99).
