Flexible Silicon Screen offers enveloping protection for the iPad

Dexim (http://www.dexim.net) recently announced the availability of its line of fashionable cases and reflective screen protectors for the iPad. The new line offers a range of colorful designs, surface types and a variety of features.

One of my favorites is the DLA139 Flexible Silicone Sleeve (US$29.90), which comes with an anti-scratch screen protector, squeegee-card and cleaning cloth. The sleeve fits the iPad snugly, so doesn’t increase the bulk of the svelte Apple tablet. Plus, it offers access to the headphone jack, switches, sensors, the dock connector, etc.

On the downside, I had problems applying the screen protector even with the included squeegee-card. Then again, I’ve never met a screen protector I could apply without leaving air bubbles. But you may be more talented than me in this regard.

If you carry your iPad with you everywhere (and you know you do) and have a tendency to drop it or spill liquids on it (and you know you do), the Flexible Silicon Sleeve is worth considering. It’s durable and completely encases the Apple tablet — at least if you have better luck than me putting on the screen protector.
