TrendNet (http://www.trendnet.com) has announced the availability of the 3.5-inch USB 3.0 External Enclosure and 2.5-inch USB 3.0 External Enclosure. You can use ’em with a Mac, but they’ll only run at USB 2.0 speeds as Apple has yet to add USB 3.0 support for the Mac.

The 3.5-inch USB 3.0 External Enclosure (US$79.99) supports one 3.5-inch SATA I or II hard disk drive with storage capacities in excess of one terabyte (the hard drive is sold separately). You can install a SATA I or II hard drive and connect the enclosure to a 5Gbps USB 3.0 port on your computer. The included USB 3.0 Type A connector is backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports.

The 2.5-inch USB 3.0 External Enclosure ($59.99) supports one 2.5-inch SATA I or II hard disk drive with storage capacities in excess of one Terabyte (hard drive sold separately). You can install a SATA I or II hard drive and connect the enclosure to a 5Gbps USB 3.0 port on your computer.
