Apple shares top $300 for the first time

Apple shares climbed above the US$300 mark for the first time in the company’s history as trading began Wednesday, notes “MarketWatch” (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/apple-shares-rise-above-300-for-first-time-ever-2010-10-13).

Apple rose $2.15 to $300.65 a share as the market opened, continuing the stock’s rise this year that has lifted the stock by more than 42%. Apple is scheduled to report its fiscal fourth quarter results on Monday, Oct. 18.
