RunTime Revolution (http://www.runrev.com) has debuted its updated software development platform LiveCode, a massive step forward in compile-free programming and a new deployment pack for iPhone/iPad development. The cross-platform solution offers deployment packs for the Web, desktop, server and additional mobile platforms starting at US$99.

Formerly the Revolution development environment, LiveCode enables real-time development with adaptations and modifications. LiveCode offers: compile-free coding; an English-like programming language; and cross platform development. It’s a development platform that enables the creation of mobile applications, commercial software, enterprise IT solutions, in-house utilities, front ends, e-learning solutions and even school projects.

Following in the heels of the revised Apple developer guidelines, RunRev introduces the pre-release version of LiveCode Deployment Pack for iOS g. The pre-release iOS Deployment Pack includes functionality for shake motion detection, multi-touch, accelerometer, photo picker, and support for orientation, core location and sending email.

LiveCode pricing begins at $99 for a one-seat, personal use license, including LiveCode development for iPhone/iPad. Additional deployment and service packs are available based on project, platform, users or other requirements. LiveCode service packs are offered for specific development environments, professional and commercial requirements, and educators, including universities and K-12 classroom licenses.

In addition to LiveCode for iOS, deployment packs include Windows Mobile, Windows desktops, Mac OS X desktops, Linux desktops, and popular Web browsers on Windows, Mac and Linux including Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome and FireFox.
