Here are the latest iPhone/iPod touch/iPod/iPad apps announced. You can find ’em at the Apple App Store (http://www.itunes.com/appstore/).

Livescribe has introduced the free Pencast Player application for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The app enables consumers to access a digital copy of their synchronized notes and audio as pencasts from anywhere. Now notes and audio from critical meetings or lectures are portable and playable when you need them.

Stigmergy Games has announced Virion SD 1.0 for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. It’s a $0.99 puzzle game loosely based upon real biological processes. Gameplay is broken down into 14 patients which form the campaigns. Each patient contains nine viral infections that must be defeated in order to bring a patient back to good health.

Hairy Monster Studios has released Save Betsy Lite 1.0,a free game for the iPhone and iPod touch. In the game you help Betsy the cow escape from the Vegan Meat Co. by jumping up on stationary, moving and breakable platforms that become harder and harder to navigate as the player gets higher.  

SigmaPhone has launched iHealthAid 1.0, a $1.99 medical and healthcare app for iOS devices. It integrates a medication guide, a medication reminder, a profile manager, and a health trend tracker. It provides easy search options to look up prescribed medications within over 7,000 drugs and medications. iHealthAid can log blood pressure, weight, and blood sugar statistics. Favorite medications can be saved locally, and accessed later without an Internet connection.

Nuclear Nova Software has introduced Liquid Defense and Escape on the iPad. The $2.99 game offers the ability to play puzzle games on their Apple tablet. Liquid Defense is a puzzle game where you must eliminate all of the incoming water, gas and oil. Escape is a top-down style puzzle game where you must lead your character through over 75 dungeons.

Savvas Panagiotidis has rolled out The Smarty Test for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s a $0.99 game in which player has to answer obvious, but tricky, questions.

Mooee Company has announced Bella Girl – Beauty Assistant 1.0, their new $6.99 utility for the iPad. Developed specifically for the smart ladies who require a set of beauty tools to help them manage their beauty care needs. It has a personal mode that remembers all your personal measurements and requirements so that you can access any tools and retrieve your personal data, no need to re-enter them.

Sulaba has released Memory Puzzle 1.0, a $1.99, 3-in-1 game for the iPhone and iPod touch. It allows you to play three different types of memory puzzle games, including Numbers, Colors and Picture Puzzle. Players can also challenge friends by adding multiple users and post their scores on FaceBook or Twitter.

De Voorkant BV has launched Air-Gallery 1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch. The $1.99 app allows users to wirelessly transfer photos and videos from their iDevice with a camera to their computer or other device that is on the same network and has a web browser or WebDAV support. Air-Gallery works in a number of different venues, allows for file previews and is safely protected from prying eyes with a secure username and password.

Alex Wiltschko has unveiled Octave 1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch. The $2.99 app turns the iPhone into an analyzer using either the iPhone’s built-in microphone, or any other iOS-compatible mic. With Octave, anyone can analyze the frequencies in the sound around them. You can, for example, find the frequency of the feedback in a PA system, bet your friends you can tell what frequency an ambulance’s siren is, or tune a guitar or piano and more.

THQ has unleashed Star Wars: Trench Run 2.0 and Star Wars: Vader Yourself for the iPhone and iPod touch. The next generation version of Star Wars: Trench Run 2.0 ($4.99) incorporates Brass Monkey, a new technology from Infrared5.  Players can bring out their inner Dark Side with Star Wars: Vader Yourself ($0.99) by transforming their own voice into that of the sinister Darth Vader.

CBS News has launched the free CBS News app for the iPad. It delivers the latest news stories, videos and photo galleries from the complete roster of award-winning CBS News broadcasts, along with videos.

Vaporware Labs has tossed up Steve Young Football, their first app for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. It allows players to control Super Bowl XXIX MVP and Pro Football Hall of Famer Steve Young, driving down the field to collect stars, avoiding danger, traps and pitfalls along the way. Steve Young Football is available on the Apple App Store for $4.99 for the iPad version and $.99 for the iPhone and iPod touch.

Redbot Software has announced ABC Letters Tracing Lite 1.2, an update to their free educational app for the iPhone and iPod touch. It helps parents teach their children the alphabet, based on popular letter writing and tracing activity books used in schools. The child uses their finger to trace each letter on the screen of the device. Users can try this free version, before buying the full version, ABC Letters Tracing.

dBelement has released Cup O’ Joe 1.2 for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s a $1.99 interactive app is designed “to challenge you and get your brain into tip-top shape.”

Drahtwerk has introduced iWebcamera 2.0, an update to the $4.99 app that turns the iPhone into a driver-based webcamera. With it, the Apple smartphone can be used as a webcamera in applications like Skype, Windows Live Messenger, YouTube and other webcamera enabled desktop applications. iWebcamera 2.0 introduces full support for the iPhone 4 including Retina display graphics, support for both cameras and more.

Pictional has launched TrueHDR 2.0, an update that brings improvements in high dynamic range photography to the iPhone. Picking up where Apple’s HDR leaves off, the $1.99 offers better results with enhanced details in the shadows and sun, and support for iPhone 4 and 3GS, including back and front cameras. TrueHDR’s new Rapid Autocapture mode purportedly makes it easier than ever to take HDR pictures, and its new SemiAuto mode offers greater control in choosing exposure points.

Axion Logic has announced ChronosGear 1.01 for iOS devices. This $1.99, battle themed puzzle game brings together the elements of a story-based role playing game and the graphics of Manga art. Axion Logic has merged these features with the action and strategy of a match-3 game. Skill effects for each units are divided into four distinctive classes: Core, Greater, Ultimate and Hero.

SF App Studio has released Moe’s Notes 1.2.6 for the iPhone, as well as the accompanying iPad app, Moe’s Notepad. The $2.99 apps for editing and storing multi-media notes. Users can add and edit photos, voice recordings and video to their notes, and the media editors rival those found in purpose built multi-media apps. Notes can be retrieved with four different search filters; text, tag, time and date, or location.

Kabuki Vision has launched NoteMaster 3.5, an update to the $3.99 note-taking app for the iPhone and iPod touch. It lets you create great-looking notes containing text, images, and headers. Other NoteMaster features include categories, password-protection, hyperlink detection, full-text search, e-mail, and syncing with Google Docs. Version 3.5 adds the ability to easily insert a variety of lists right inside a note, making the contents even better organized.

Discover Motion has launched Fan Misery 2.01 for iOS devices. The free app can track their favorite teams in the same way they’d check the daily weather forecast. It also has a Fan Misery Index, which is calculated based on both statistics and opinions.

McRae Johnson is offering Goal Achiever 1.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The $0.99 is designed to help users achieve their life goals. This app will help manage long-term goals into short-term steps with the goal timeline. Users can view their goals and their success achieving their goals, using the goal timeline and goal list.

LHT-Labs has unveiled Snafus 1.1 for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The $0.99 app was “designed to promote harmony via tips and true accounts, meant to help people avoid embarrassing cultural clashes. It provides important info about each country, giving insight to laws, customs and traditions that may otherwise be unknown to visitors.”

Jode80 has rolled out HoloToy 1.08, the eighth update to its $1.99, no-glasses 3D digital toy for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It works by distorting the 3D scenes displayed on screen in a way our brains would expect based on the current angle of the device. HoloToy 1.08 adds anaglyph rendering with support for a variety of 3D glasses, HoloPic sharing and a new in-depth user manual.

Mirek Elsner has announced World Meeting Planner Lite 1.01 for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s a free tool for professionals who need scheduling conference calls across time zones and individuals who want to connect with their family members and friends abroad. The app provides a list of over 40,000 major and minor cities from all continents. The search feature allows advanced substring processing, which recognizes names even if you start typing the name from the middle.
