Developed to address the needs of today’s fast-paced end-user, the new Color imageCLASS MF9280Cdn and MF9220Cdn color laser multifunction printers allow small businesses and work groups to maximize productivity with print, copy, fax and scan functionality in a fully networkable device, according to Jim Rosetta, vice president and general manager, Imaging Systems Group, Canon U.S.A.

Designed for multi-user environments, the devices feature a variety of technologies including “User ID Management” control, which allows network administrators to monitor and limit print output and an Auto-Duplex function to help reduce paper costs and increase productivity.  Additionally, for the first time from Canon, the Color imageCLASS MF9200 series features LDAP address book, allowing documents to be sent instantly.

Featuring a 50-sheet Auto Document Feeder (ADF), 250-sheet cassette plus 100-sheet multipurpose tray, and an optional 500-sheet paper cassette pedestal and handling paper sizes up to legal, the Color imageCLASS MF9200 Series delivers print speeds of up to 22 pages per minute (ppm) in both color and black and white. The MF9200 Series also boasts a 3.5-inch color display with Easy-Scroll Wheel t.

Beyond the basic features of the MF9200 series, MF9280Cdn has the ability to perform PCL5c printing and is the first imageCLASS machine to be capable of handling PostScript 3 Emulation. Integrated USB ports provide the capability to both print and scan directly to and from USB media.
