Here are the latest iPhone/iPod touch/iPod/iPad apps announced. You can find ’em at the Apple App Store (http://www.itunes.com/appstore/).

Greg Pascale has announced Realtime FX 1.0, a free app for iPhone 3GS/4 devices. Just like Apple’s Photo Booth, it brings live, real-time image effects to the iPhone. Simply hold up your iPhone and watch as effects are applied to what you see in real time. You can distort reality with squeeze, stretch and mirror effects, color the world as a pencil drawing or a cartoon, or turn on motion blur to slow down time. Realtime FX comes with five effects. A bundle of 12 more effects can be purchased conveniently right inside the app for US$0.99.

Feelthere has introduced SlotCar Mania 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch. This $0.99 slot car app offers the ability to customize vehicles, terrain, and difficulty levels. SlotCar Mania sports a total of 12 open wheel cars, stock cars, or touring car styles to choose from, along with 10 race tracks.

Hypnovisualization has produced Dream Control 1.0 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. Through a process known as hypnovisualization, the $2.99 app “guides users to a deeply relaxed state and teaches them how to control their dreams and tap into the enormous capabilities of their mind in order to make positive changes.”

Opernikus has served up Phennis 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch devices. In the $0.99 app, players can pick a famous tennis player from the scroll wheel and swing the device like a tennis racquet to hear that celebrity’s trademark grunt. Phennis 1.0 uses the device’s accelerometer to recognize a serve, return or backhand swing, to deliver the right sound, and even has an option for right or left handed play.

EuroSmartz is offering CalPrint 1.0, a $1.99 calendar viewing and printing app for th eiPhone and iPod touch. It takes advantage of new functionality in iOS 4 and enables iPhone owners to view, edit and print their Exchange, Apple and Google calendars.

Morning Egg has debuted Magical Wars 1.0, a $0.99 game for the iPhone and iPod touch. This is a full-fledged battle arena game with castle defense elements. Users have to destroy their enemies with one of five hero characters.

Richard Lucas has released Visual Notes 1.0, a photo note taking app for the iPhone. It allows you to create notes using the camera, your photo library or the keyboard. Notes are geo-tagged with the location they were created which can be viewed using the applications in-app map. Visual Notes has been written from the ground up to take advantage of many of the iPhone and IOS4’s newest features. It normally retails at $1.99 but is available for a short introductory period for $0.99.

Wine lovers on the go can now enjoy Wine Spectator’s researched, gold-standard vintage charts in the form of a free iPhone app. Called VintageChart+, it is the first of an entire suite of cross-platform Wine Spectator wine apps in development.

I-play has rolled out MotoGP 2010 for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s a $3.99, 3D racing game based on the world’s premier motorcycling championship series. It delivers the realism of the 2010 season complete with all the riders, tracks and enhancements.

Online magazine “Slate” has published an iPad app. It’s free to download, thanks to an exclusive launch sponsorship by Marriott Hotels & Resorts, which lasts through Oct. 11.

Stellar Apps has announced Multifunction LED Flashlight 2.0 for the iPhone 4. The $0.99 app supports three major flashlight functions, allowing the user to fully control each one. Version 2.0 features several improvements and new features. The strobe bar allows the speed of the flash to be as slow as an SOS or emergency strobe. The third function supported by the application is a Morse Code setting.

Productions has released UltimateWalls 1.1 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. This $1.99 app offers users more than 300 high resolution wallpapers. UltimateWalls 1.1 gives users an instant preview that lets them see how their new wallpaper will look on their homescreen and lock screen, so they know right away whether they’ve made the right choice.

Happymagenta has introduced Spyglass 3.0 for iPhone 4, 3GS and iPad Wi-Fi + 3G, an update to their $1.99 augmented reality compass. It’s a navigation tool that includes a milspec compass, tracker and finder for GPS, bearings, Sun, Moon and stars, inclinometer, sextant, rangefinder, angular calculator, 5x zoom camera, maps and more.

Rengi Rengi has unveiled Kids Paint Plus 2.0 for iPad users. Specially developed for children, the $0.99 features multiple pages, some which already have drawings on them that kids can color. Version 2.0 allows for simultaneous multiple finger use and lets parents save their child’s creations to a photo library.

Inkstone Software says the Young Readers’ edition of QuickReader, the $5.99 iPhone eBook reader and speed reading app, has been relaunched just in time for the new school year with 132 children’s classics and free promotional codes for teachers and schools. The Young Readers’ edition is designed to help boys and girls aged 8-13 develop their reading skills by teaching them speed reading techniques, helping them to focus, finish their homework faster, and more.
