Get your geek on at the 2010 MacTech Conference

On the weekend prior to Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference, “MacTech Magazine” (https://www.mactech.com) announced it will be holding the MacTech Conference for IT Pros and Mac developers, Nov. 3-5, 2010 in Los Angeles.

The three-day, session-packed event will have sessions and activities throughout the day and evening giving attendees the opportunity to not only learn from the best, but get to know others in the industry.

“We’ve been considering a conference for many years now, but the timing was never quite right. Now, the timing is right, and ‘MacTech’ is here to serve the community,” said Neil Ticktin, editor-in-chief/publisher, “MacTech Magazine.” “In both the IT and development communities, bonding with peers is among the top requests, and the MacTech Conference will be built to serve those wishes from beginning.”

The MacTech Conference will have two separate tracks: one focused on IT, and one focused on programming/development. Sessions will focus on both desktop and mobile, with appropriate levels of attention paid to Mac, iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Those interested in speaking should contact “MacTech” at https://www.mactech.com/conference/speakers-app . Already in progress, the call for speakers (for main sessions) ends June 18th.

“The whole idea of the MacTech Conference is to allow members of the Apple community to meet and exchange ideas,” said Edward Marczak, conference chair and executive editor of “MacTech Magazine.” “This will be spurred on by presentations from some of the best and well-known in the community.”

Further details on the conference will be available soon as registration opens.

Established in 1984, “MacTech Magazine” is the only monthly magazine focused on Apple at the technical level. Each month, “MacTech” and MacTech.com is read by 150,000 technical Macintosh users in over 175 countries — from network administrators to programmers, from solution providers to Enterprise, and, in general, anyone that’s interested in the Macintosh beyond the user level.
