Here are the latest iPhone/iPod touch/iPod/iPad apps announced. You can find ’em at the Apple App Store (http://www.itunes.com/appstore/).

Sol Robots has released Double Across, an US$9.99 app for the iPad. It’s designed for everyone who loves books, board games, or crossword puzzles. Double Across’s hallmark feature is its use of literary based computer opponents, namely: Jane Austen, Mark Twain, Jules Verne, William Shakespeare, and Aesop.These players only play words from their published works, and whenever you play a word that these characters have used in their writings, they will quote the relevant passage. A sixth AI player “Mr. Genius” is also included.  

Hello-Hello, a language learning company, has launched what it says is the world’s first complete language courses for French, German, Italian and Portuguese on the iPad. Hello-Hello developed these courses in collaboration with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL) and has ay priced these complete sets of 30 conversational lessons at $9.99 each.

StubHub, a ticket marketplace, has launched a StubHub ticket purchasing app for the iPhone and iPod touch. The free app provides fans with the ability to access and search an inventory of secondary market sporting, concert and theater tickets and make purchases.

Voicepedia is introducing World Holidays Calendar 2010 for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s a $2.99 global calendar that enables users to find holidays for the 2010 fiscal year in 241 countries and regions.

The Porsche Club of America has rolled out the PCA iPhone application. With the $4.99 app, members can stay connected with PCA regions, events as well as having PCA/Porsche related resource information at their fingertips. Members can find Porsche dealers and Porsche related service providers using GPS or zip code, find tracks closest to you using GPS or zip code and more.

Light Technology has unveiled See Where I Am 1.0 for iPhone devices. The $0.99, multi-function app combines the iPhone’s built in email, camera, and GPS locator to let you share a photo and message with time, date, and Google Map navigation info to your Address Book contacts.

Bit Mantra has announced updates for Stock Genie 2.2.2 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. The $2.99 app breaks down the details of daily stocks and picks the best one, based on 15 different criteria. Users are shown the result and can then consider whether or not to include the stock in their portfolio.

MotionObj has released SimplyTweet 3.1.1, an update to their $4.99 Twitter app for the iPhone and iPod touch. Version 3.1.1 adds Instapaper mobilizer support, as well as other features and fixes.

Byte Squared has introduced Office2 HD 3.3.1, an update to its $7.99 its office app for the iPad. Office2 HD provides DOC compatible document editing and XLS compatible spreadsheet editing, including integration with Dropbox, Google Docs, MobileMe iDisk and several other cloud based services. Compatible with Microsoft Word, NeoOffice and any other .doc compatible word processor, users can view, create, edit and save documents in Word 97-2003 format and more.

Drahtwerk has rolled out iWebcamera OS X drivers ($4.99), which enable users to use the iWebcamera iPhone app with Mac OS X. iWebcamera turns the iPhone into a driver-based web camera for use with applications like Skype, Microsoft Live Messenger, YouTube, Chat Roulette and more.

Global Delight has unveiled Camera Plus Pro 2.3, an update to its $1.99, all-in-one iPhone photo app. It adds camera and photo-editing capabilities to the device, including video recording on 2G and 3G iPhones. Interface improvements, added options for Flickr uploading, and FTP sharing are just a few of the new features in version 2.3.
