Speck has developed ShieldView (http://www.speckproducts.com/content/shieldview), a new line of screen protectors available for the iPad, iPhone and other devices. The screen protectors join the company’s CrispView Screen Cleaning Kits in Speck’s expanding group of products aimed to keep your device displays and touch screens clean.
Designed and engineered to fit the iPad, iPhone 3G and 3GS, BlackBerry Bold 9700, Blackberry Storm2 9550, and 4.3-inch widescreen portable GPS devices, ShieldView delivers a “virtually invisible” layer of protection but which doesn’t interfere with the functionality of your touch screen, according to Speck CEO Irene Baran. The screen protectors can be applied and removed.
ShieldView’s non-adhesive matte finish and specialized coatings reduce glare and brightness while protecting screens from scratches and smudging. They’re available in packs of two for iPad and packs of three for all other devices. ShieldView for smartphones and GPS devices is available for US$9.95 and for the iPad, it’s $24.95. All ShieldView products come in re-sealable storage envelope packaging; the iPad model also includes a screen cleaning cloth.
