Logitech releases portable audio system, updates Harmony remote line-up

Logitech (http://www.logitech.com) has released the Laptop Z205 speaker for laptop and netbook computers. The company has also updated its line of Harmony remotes.

The Logitech Laptop Speaker Z205 (pictured) attaches to the top of most laptop screens.The speaker Z205 is small and portable — approximately 1.35 inches thick and 2.5 inches tall. The included carrying case protects your speaker while inside your briefcase or backpack. The Logitech Laptop Speaker Z205 is expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe for a suggested retail price of US$39.99.

Logitech has added to its line of Harmony remotes by unveiling the Harmony 600 Remote and Harmony 650 Remote. With the Logitech Harmony 600 Remote, you’ll see the commands you need for the devices you’re using, such as power and volume, on the monochrome backlit screen. The smart display can even provide help if you need it; just select the Help button and answer the questions that follow.

If you prefer a more colorful display, the Logitech Harmony 650 Remote features a color screen, which lets you see icons for your favorite channels as well as the commands you need for the devices you’re using. The Harmony 600 Remote will be available for $79.99, and the Harmony 650 Remote for $99.99. Both remotes are expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe in March.
