Mobile Application Showcase to double in size for Macworld 2011

On the heels of Macworld 2010 event, IDG World Expo says that the Macworld Mobile Application Showcase area for iPhone, iPod touch and now iPad developers will double in size at Macworld 2011. IDG World Expo also announced that free expo hall registration for next year’s event will open on Monday, Feb. 22 for two weeks only.

The Mobile Application Showcase, a special area of the show floor dedicated to new-to-market products by iPhone and iPod touch developers, debuted at Macworld 2010. The showcase was met with resounding success from vendors and exhibitors alike with over 100 app developers and enthusiastic crowds four to five people deep over the duration of the three-day expo, according to Paul Kent, vice president and general manager, Macworld.

Macworld 2011, the world’s premiere event focused exclusively on the Apple products platform, is scheduled to take place Jan. 25-29, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Mobile Application Showcase spaces are now available for app developers.
